This is one of our traditional superbowl foods. Since I've had a few emergency requests, I thought I'd better get this on the blog before the big day.
Superbowl Chili Dip
1 lb. hamburger - browned and drained
1 small can green chilies
2 cans chili WITHOUT beans
2 lb. package Velveeta cheese
(add tabasco if desired)
Brown hamburger and drain. Add other ingredients, heat to melt cheese. (I usually add a little milk because this is a fairly thick dip.) This works in the microwave, crock pot (after the hamburger is browned), or on the stove.
Serve with tortilla chips.
Sounds like the addictive recipe for a heart attack!
ReplyDeleteisn't this what we found under the "hide-a-bed" plaid couch in wx in the summer one year? i do remember really liking it, but i think someone had puked it up. i think that was a rob trick.
ReplyDeleteI think what happened is that either someone threw up and we found it and thought it was the dip or we found the dip and thought it was throw-up. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but I do remember liking this.
ReplyDeleteI think Melissa is right. We only have this once or twice a year, so I think our bodies can handle it. One of Dad's students had brought this to an activity and the kids were fighting over the last drop - it was that good. He got the recipe and it has been one of our traditions ever since.
ReplyDeleteI think Allyn is thinking of Makenzie's parmesan popcorn.
